The hub of everything in Nepal, Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal and is a wonderful place to be. As it's the capital of Nepal, it has managed to modernize itself through the years. But still, the heritages that have been passed down through the ages are still intact. Emerging from the ancient civilizations of Asia, Kathmandu is home to nearly 130 important monuments and it's the first stop for many visitors who visit Nepal every year.
 
This tour package covers the entire major city in Kathmandu Valley like Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan. It takes you along all the nooks and corners of the valley where you'll witness the gradual change that is taking place. While one moment you're inside the historical city of Bhaktapur where you'll see the old buildings which look as if they're standing still in time another moment you're passing along the posh areas which have undergone tremendous amount of changes. This package includes several UNESCO world heritage sites located in Nepal. Starting from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Patan Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath and Boudha with the famous temple located near to the hill station like place Nagarkot. You'll have a great time visiting all these different places inside the valley.
 
A) Kathmandu Durbar Square: Kathmandu Durbar Square is in the heart of Kathmandu city. It is one of the three durbars (royal place) square in Kathmandu valley. The Kathmandu durbar square is surrounded by spectacular architecture and vividly showcases the skills of the Newari artist and craftsmen. Over several centuries the Kathmandu durbar square holds the place of the Malla and Shah Kings who ruled over the city. The square is presently known as Hanumaan Dhoka, a name derived from the statue of Hanuman- the monkey devotee of Lord Ram, near the entrance of the place. This square contains the many temples like; Taleju Temple, Krishna Temple, Jagannath Temple, Hanuman statue, Big Bell, Kal Bhairav, Basantapur Durbar, Kumari Ghar, Kasthamandap and many more. The Kumari Ghar is one of the important places inside Kathmandu Durbar Square-the house of the living Goddess “Kumari” who is believed to be the incarnation of Goddess Taleju. The protective deity, kumari often provides her blessing from the window to the visitors.
 
B) Bhakatapur Durbar Square: Bhakatapur Durbar Square is an assortment of Pagoda and Shikhara-style temples grouped around a fifty-five-window made of brick and wood. The Durbar Square was the set of the Malla kings and the present structure were erected from the 12th to the 18th century A.D. The square contains The Lion Gate (The two lion symbolizes the elements of power and protection), Golden Gate, Stone Column, 55 Windows Place-is the finest wooden architectural structure dominating the entire Durbar Square, vastala Temple and many more.
 
C) Patan Durbar square: Patan Durbar Square is also one of three Durbars square in Kathmandu Valley. Patan is also known as Lalitpur-means the city of fine arts. Patan Durbar Square is best known for its rich cultural heritage, particularly its tradition of arts and crafts. It is also called a city of festival and feasts. The Patan Durbar Square has been listed by UNESCO as one of seven Monument Zone. It includes many temples same of them are: Bhimsen Temples, Vishwa Nath Temple, Krishna Mandir, Stone Column, Jaganath Temple, Taleju Temple, Golden Temple and many more.
 
D) Pashupatinath: Pashupatinath is the most renowned pilgrimage site for Hindu all over the World. The word “Pashupati” literally means “Lord of Animals”. This temple is of Pagoda style. It has the two-tiered golden roof with exquisitely carved four silver doors. This temple is in the pagoda style. It is said that a cow would frequently escape from its herds and offer milk on a Jyotirlinga (phallic symbol of Shiva), which denotes the point where the temple stands today and when the owner of the cow dug the spot where the cow would give milk, the spot immediately become the center of worship. This has been continued till today. In October 1979 Pashupati area was declared as the World Heritage City by UNESCO.
 
E) Baudanath: Boudanath is the biggest stupa of Nepal. The stupa stands on a three-tiered platform raised over the crossed rectangles in order to bring out the Yantra from. The vast dome-shaped monument representing the Mind of Buddha. This is the primary pilgrimage site for Tantric Buddhist of the Himalayas and a major draw for Tibetan Buddhist from all over the world. The stupas along with the monasteries are centers of learning cultural activities, prayers and meditation.
 
F) Swayambhunath: Swayambhunath is located on a lovely little hillock. The word Swayam means the ‘self’. So swayambhunath is the place created itself. Swayambhunath stupa is also called the “Monkey Temple” because of the many of monkeys who scamper about the temple at night after the pilgrims and monkey have departed. The area surrounding the stupa is filled with Chaityas, Temples, and Painted images of deities and numerous other religious objects.
