Imja Tse peak, at a height of 6,160 meters, is more popularly known by the name of Island Peak. The peak was named Island peak by Eric Shipton’s party in 1953, as the peak resembles an island in a sea of ice when viewed form Dingboche. Later in 1983, the peak was renamed as Imja Ts.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu transfer to hotel 1350m

Day 2 : Rest days at Kathmandu 1350m

Day 3 : Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla 2800m.and trek to Phakding 2610m.

Day 4 : Phakding to Namche Bazaar 3440m.

Day 5 : Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization.

Day 6 : Namche Bazaar to Tengboche 3800m.

Day 7 : Tengboche to Pheriche 4200m.

Day 8 : Pheriche to Lobuche 4900m.

Day 9 : Lobuche to Dingboche 4300m.

Day 10 : Dingboche to Chukung 4730m.

Day 11 : Chukung to Island Peak base camp 5000m.

Day 12 : Island Peak base camp to High camp 5500m

Day 13 : High camp to Summit 6189m. and Back to Base Camp

Day 14 : After summit back to Chukung

Day 15 : Chukung to Tengboche 3800m

Day 16 : Thyanboche to Namche Bazaar 3440m.

Day 17 : Namche Bazaar to Phakding 2610m

Day 18 : Phakding to Lukla 2800m

Day 19 : Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

Day 20 : Rest day at Kathmandu
